Head Keeper - Forthampton Estate 

Due to the exciting acquisition of The Forthampton Estate for the coming season Hadley Game & Sporting are looking recruit an ambitious forward-thinking Head Keeper to drive the rejuvenation of this beautiful sporting estate.

 

 Located on the edge of the Cotswolds, Forthampton Estate comprises of over 3000 acres including large blocks of mature woodland, established cover crops, arable and grassland. 

Shooting around 40 days per season experience of running a high-quality commercial shoot is therefore essential along with a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and the ability to develop strong working relationships.  

 

The applicant must be highly motivated, well organised, and possess excellent people skills. There will be a strong emphasis on developing the Partridge shooting on the estate so previous experience in this area would be beneficial. Experience in rearing game birds will be essential in this role.

 

 A clean driving licence, firearms and shotgun licences are essential. 

Chainsaw, ATV and other relevant tickets would be beneficial but not essential. 

 

A competitive remuneration package with performance related bonuses will be available to the successful candidate including 3 Bed Cottage, clothing allowance and shoot vehicle.

Beat Keeper - Forthampton Estate

 Located on the edge of the Cotswolds, Forthampton Estate comprises of over 3000 acres including large blocks of mature woodland, established cover crops, arable and grassland. 

Shooting around 40 days per season experience of working within a high-quality commercial shooting environment is therefore essential along with a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and the ability to develop strong working relationships within a team.  

 

The applicant must be a self-starter, well organised and possess excellent people skills. You will be expected to work as part of a team answering directly to the Head Keeper. There will be a strong emphasis on developing the Partridge shooting on the estate so previous experience in this area would be beneficial. Experience in rearing game birds will be essential in this role.
